Krystine L. Alvear

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Krystine is a Doctor of Physical Therapy with 5+ years of experience in various settings, including outpatient, neurology, and sports-based clinics. As a movement specialist, she excels in assessing functional and sport-specific movement to identify and correct faults that can lead to injury. Krystine has a keen interest in strength and conditioning, as well as analyzing and improving running mechanics. With her expertise, she can diagnose and rehabilitate injuries. Having gone through a challenging recovery process herself after tearing her ACL, Krystine understand the emotional and physical toll that comes with the recovery process.

Krystine is also a certified mental/mindset performance coach, passionate about the mind-body connection. She specializes in identifying mindset blocks that can hinder athletes, including performance under pressure, self-doubt, lack of confidence, and perfectionism etc. She firmly believes in prioritizing mental training as much, if not more, than physical training in sports.

Soccer Experience: Krystine was a former four-year starter and two-year captain at Utica University. She also has diverse coaching experience, ranging from youth club/academy to high school and D1 college level.

Krystine founded Ambition Wellness and Performance with the mission to provide athletes a comprehensive and inclusive resource that supports their physical and mental well-being throughout every aspect of their athletic journey.

Luis Iglesias

Athletic Trainer

Coach Luis is an experienced professional with a strong background in sports science. With a Master’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science from Eastern Kentucky University, he is highly knowledgeable in the field of athletic training. Luis also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and a minor in Arts and Sciences (Spanish) from the same institution.

Throughout his career, Luis has served as a Physical Education Teacher and Athletic Trainer at Ossining High School in New York. Luis has a strong background in manual therapy. He has completed the diploma in Structural Osteopathy from the School of Manual Osteopathy in Bilbao, Spain. He also hold a Master’s degree in Therapeutic and Sport Massage from Naya School Superior of Quiromasaje and Center of Therapies in Oviedo, Spain, as well as certifications in Sports Massage from EQM School of Massage in Madrid, Spain.

Coach Luis holds certifications in First-Aid, CPR, and AED instruction from the American Red Cross and ECIS Institute. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) and hold a level 1 certification from the USA Weightlifting Association (USAW). He is also certified in FMS 1 and 2 (Functional Movement System), CFSC (Certified Functional Strength Coach), and hold a Bioforce Conditioning Certification (CCC). Luis also is an educator of First-Aid CPR/AED to those in need of a certification.
